Dear Christina,

I have a WordPress site that is self hosted. But I keep running into trouble with my host with the amount of CPU usage that WordPress and/or its plugins seems to use.

So I have a few questions for you...

1. Have you found WordPress and/or the WordPress plugins to be a CPU hog?

2. What is the normal amount of CPU usage to look for when choosing a host for a WordPress site?

3. What have you found to be the normal CPU usage for most WordPress sites?

4. Do you have any clue as to which WordPress plugins use the most CPUs?

I have a shared host account that allows me 4.5% CPU usage, but my WordPress site keeps using more than this amount.

I do NOT have a huge site and I do NOT have tons of traffic so these cannot be the reasons for the high CPU usage.

I use to recommend WordPress to people wanting to start a new website, but now I am wondering it they too will run in to the same problem I am having with high CPU usage.

Marc,
I'm not familiar with Rapid Weaver. So I cannot comment on it. I just know that Wordpress is the dominant blogging platiform and most of my business associates are moving their sites over to wordpress

I'm looking at developing a website for my coaching business and thought about using Rapid Weaver to develop it. I saw your webcast yesterday and I was wondering what is the bottom line advantage is of sing WordPress over RapidWeaver?

Thanks!

Richard,
the course is not an audio or video creation course, but I will spend a whole module on adding audio and video to your wordpress website. So it's about integrating it together into your website. I will stick with simple techniques to make adding audio and video fast and easy
