Happy Mother’s Day Animation

By Christina Hills

Happy Mother’s Day!  While my husband and daughter are off in the kitchen making me Eggs Benedict (my fav) this morning, I thought I’d post this animation I created years ago.   With WordPress you can embed video animation into your posts and pages.  And you don’t have to create your own videos, you can use videos you find on the video sharing sites!

Just Click on the Play Button Below to Play the Animation:

Enjoy your Mother’s Day! :)

  1. Christina,
You are a genius and a virtual mother to many:

I love the video! Thanks tons for sharing on this special day: Mother’s Day!

Enjoy your special day with Maggie and hubby!! Sit back and relax–check yourself out of the kitchen today!

    Carol

    • Christina Hills says:

      Carol,
      Thanks!

Yes, I had forgotten that I had made this video, and just found it today by chance. I miss the old animation days, and want to get back into it!

      :)

      • Lauren says:

Don’t you just love it when an old treasure pops up? As I am not one to believe in pure coincidence ;) I wonder what the message is? Perhaps you could (in your spare time) teach a basic animation skills class! Now that would be a lot of fun!

Just down loaded the free audio & handout on “Your Web Design”…GREAT STUFF.

Thanks for ALL your help Christina.
You are one of the most invaluable resources on the internet…

      Michael,
I ALWAYS get excited over pictures
Nice to ‘see’ you in your Gravatar picture
      ;)

  5. Kit Furey says:

Thank you, Christina, for continually showing us ways to think creatively!

    • Christina Hills says:

      Kit,
It’s my students like you who keep me motivated and passionate about doing all of this

      :)

Christina, nice animation. Love using video on sites especially ones that tell a story. Wanted to pass along a neat video creation site that can help add entertaining content to your wordpress site. Animoto.com is a great way to take your Flip movies or still photos to the next level. Hope this helps someone out…Take a look at http://animoto.com. Great stuff of your site and refer folks to you often.

    All the best,

    Stefan

  7. First of all, thank you for sending out the Mothers’ Day wish to your list! I really enjoyed the animation as well!

And I have to concur that you are indeed such a valuable Internet resource. You’ve likely been told this, but you have a gift in terms of educating people what you know. It’s as if you can anticipate the questions or fuzzy areas ahead of time, so you have it well laid out beforehand. (Believe me, I don’t see that alot when it comes to any sort of educator!)

And thanks to one of your teleseminars from a few weeks ago, I will now be building my next site with wordpress (once I find a VA who is exceptionally good with wordpress!)…I really appreciate all the information you give those of us not well-versed (and often, not interested in having to become well-versed!) in terms of technical aspects of the Net.

Happy Mother’s Day to you! (I got my fave breakfast in bed too! Wasn’t it nice?! Lol).

    Ann-Michele.

  8. Ellen says:

Fun! I hope you had a Happy Mother’s Day. And your message, that we can adapt this to our own WP sites is noted:)

  9. Columbia says:

    Hi Christina,

Happy Mother’s Day to you! If you haven’t done it already you might want to post one of your delightful “Alice” videos on your public blog, Facebook etc. as a “Mother-daughter moment” to share with everyone.

Cheers and it’s great to be back in the WCW again on the
lifetime pass we get as your alumni.

    Columbia
PS Thanks for all the fun and humorous moments you bring to us as we get your valuable content.

  10. Cheryl Lynn says:

    Hi Christina:

Thanks so much for sharing. That was a great animation. I would also join the class for teaching of how to do this. This is so cool.

    Happy Mothers Day!

    Cheryl

    • Christina Hills says:

      Cheryl,

Yes, teaching an animation class would be a lot of fun, and a natural for me because of my special effects background.

You’ll be the first to know when I develop that course!

I’ve got so many courses I want to teach, but not enough time in the day to develop them all

      LOL!

  11. Hi Christina,

I love your Mother’s Day animation. It is so cheerful and uplifting. Hope your Mother’s day was wonderful.
    Regards,
    Harriet

  12. Michele says:

    Hi Christina,

I’m a long time student still trying to figure out how to get a simple blog up! Just want you to know that I enjoy your videos (love Alice in Wonderland too) and appreciate the opportunity to retake your Website Creation Workshop again … and again in my case!

    I bet you’re a great Mom!!

    • Christina Hills says:

      Michele,

That is exactly why I have the alumni bonus. So that my students can come back and retake the course at no extra charge!

Plus, each time I teach this course it gets better!

      • Christina,

You always offer blessings to us Alumni. Thanks for continuing to “allow” us in the “class” as refresher and new knowledge as it evolves. I mentioned before, just like the Apple experience that I love,– pay the price (even if more), BUT over delivered to the max in VALUE! I’m never exhausted to say “thanks” to you!

    • Hi Michele,

Let us know your blog challenges and can post that in ALUM discussion or put that in the webinar for “all” of us to benefit. Both places would be sweet to post: webinar (where Christina or Debra may answer before next webinar too sometimes) and in ALUM discussion group. I believe in “ask and it shall be given.” All questions are great and welcome to “learn” from and grow!

  13. Michele says:

Christina – like Carol says, the value of your course far exceeds the cost. It is a never-ending gift.

Carol – thanks for the encouragement. Much appreciated. I think I’ll check out the Alum Group as a first step to getting my momentum going once again.

    • Christina Hills says:

      Michele and Carol,

I love it when Alumni from my Website Creation Workshop 8 module course come over here to the public blog to make comments about the value you have gotten from being a student in my course.

It means a lot to me!

      :)

      • Carol Giambri says:

        HI Christina,

I’m in the habit of speaking truth only and did so as reflected. I sometimes need to hear sometime another time, but here I am biting off what I can chew always finding “new” meat to “eat”. What a blessing to have the opportunity to return with open arms!

        Thanks.

        carol

  14. Wow! I hope I can learn animation too! I would really like to learn that instead of making videos, why not make animations! Do I need classes for that or can I teach myself with online sources?
