Collaborating with Google Docs
ByIf you have a virtual company, or if you are collaborating with others on a project, Google Docs is a great way to work together without having the annoying problem of documents getting out of sync. I am doing this with my team as we plan the Website Creation Workshop Live Event in San Diego.
Now I have talked about Google Docs before on this blog, but I love how this little video shows you how you can see others working on your document in real time.

The enhancements to Google Docs look fantastic and take the application that much closer to being a standard for virtual collaboration.
Thanks for sharing, Christina!
Tassey,
I couldn’t live without Google Docs! I also use Basecamp for collaboration, but for spreadsheet sharing, Google Docs is the way to go!
I’ve been using Google Docs for some time. It’s beeen grat anf keeps getting better.
Thanks for posting this Christine. I don’t have any virtual people helping me, but, I think this would assist me when I am at different computers around the house. It would save me emailing the document around and knowing which one was last edited. I do understand it correctly – right ???
It might even help as my husband and I work on volume 2 of Movies About Women. Hmmmm – lots of food for thought. So much learning to do. I appreciate your tips.

Susan,
you are exactly right! I should update the blog post with this point.
Yes, I use multiple computers when I work around the house. And by using Google Docs, I can easily access my documents and always be working on the current version.
I love the spreadsheets of Google Docs. The Word type of docs are a bit more limited, but still great to access from anywhere!

Dropbox can able you to save your works online and made available anytime anywhere.. These two are my best choices in syncing and saving my files as well as doing my backups.
I know of Dropbox, but have never used it. I use google docs and basecamp
