OptimizePress: The Swiss Army Knife of Themes
Posted by: | CommentsOptimizePress is a theme for creating sales letters, membership sites, opt in pages, funnel pages, one time offers and much more. I have fallen in love with this theme, because this theme makes it so easy for you to get professional looking websites with WordPress.
And it’s very easy to format.
It’s really a big swiss army knife of a theme, and the best part, is you can have all these different types of pages within one WordPress install.

With the OptimizePress Theme You Can Build:
- Sales Letters
- Opt in Pages
- Membership Sites
- Blogs
- Funnel Pages
I will be doing a special webinar to train you on using Optimize Press themes for creating an opt in page. This webinar will assume that you already know the basics of WordPress, it is not for beginners who have never used WordPress.
On this webinar you will learn:
- How to setup an optIn page with WordPress and the Optimize press theme
- How to setup Aweber and connect it with your WordPress site
- How to setup your “Thank You” page and hook it all up together.

A Teleseminar vs. a Webinar
Posted by: | CommentsWhen I teach the Website Creation Workshop, I do so using a combination of Teleseminars and Webinars. Well this blog post is to help explain the difference between a teleseminar and a webinar.
Teleseminars are very popular for biz owners on the internet. You invite people to a conference call , and you give them a phone number and pin code. You can decide to have a handout for your audience with a teleseminar, to give them some visuals, but there is no live moving video with it.
See a screen shot of the Instant Teleseminar Event system (the one I use) below
But the main point of a teleseminaris that there is no live moving video to watch. Teleseminars are great because it does not require a lot of skill on the part of the attendee. If you use the Instant Teleseminar Event system, then you can give your audience the ability to listen on their computer, and save money on long distance charges. Great for overseas folks!
You can find out more about this at www.InstantTeleseminarEvent.com (my link for that)
But Webinars are becoming more and more popular for people because it adds the visuals of a live video during your presentations.
They take a bit more skill on the part of the attendee, because they need to download software on their computer, and it’s not as easy to talk to the moderator on the call. (an extra audio pin is required, or a telephone headset is required if you are using your computer to speak). And it often happens that people don’t know how to get on a webinar, or how they work.
I love webinars, because the ability to show moving video is VERY beneficial to people when learning WordPress. The system I use is Gotowebinar (GotoMeeting) (my link for them)
I created a video to explain HOW to get on a webinar.

Open Q&A “Radio” Show (Webinar) This Thursday
Posted by: | CommentsThis Thursday September 17th at 8pm Eastern, I’m going to host an open Q&A Webinar “Radio Show”. On this webinar I will be able to answer any questions you may have about taking the Website Creation Workshop. As you know I’ve been promoting it for the past couple of weeks and now I want to help you be able to make your decision.
I got the idea for doing a “radio show” style Webinar from this fun Peanuts video below:
Remember that this Friday September 18th the doors for the full 8 module course will be closing.
Answers to the Top 53 Questions on WordPress
Posted by: | CommentsHere are the answers to your questions that were submitted during the webinar last week. On that webinar I explained what WordPress is, showed different examples and explained how you can use it in your business.
Q: Are the WordPress Pages easy to edit?
A: WordPress pages (and blog posts) are very easy to edit. WordPress was designed so that non-technical people could write and create web pages and blog posts quickly and easily. No HTML knowledge is required.
Q: Where do you find the different types of WordPress sites?
A: You can build virtually any type of website with WordPress. It all depends upon your goal. There are many case studies here on this site for you to look at for inspiration.
Q: Before one chooses to build a site, are there some questions to ask to determine what type of site we should build for ourselves?
A: The most important question is “What is the purpose of my website?” What do you want people to do once they get to your site. This is one of the things I coach you on during the 8 module course.
