and we can connect on LinkedIn http://www.ChristinaHills.com/linkedin
Go ahead and send me an invitation to connect.
(yes I am still learning how to use LinkedIn too)
Have you ever wondered what a TweetUp is? Well simply put, it’s just a way for people to gather together for a social event, by inviting them via Twitter! WIth Social Media, it’s very easy to get the word out about your event or function (or just a group of friends getting together)
Remember being invited to a party with Evite.com? It’s a free program by Yahoo that let’s you throw a party and invite your friends via email. Well with Social Media we have TwtVite.com . It’s similar to Evite.com but it’s much easier to spread the word about your event with Social Media. You can use both Twitter and Facebook to tell folks about your event.
Here is a short video by the developer of Twtvite by Felipe Coimbra (@twtvite on Twitter)
Are you a Twitter person or a FaceBook Person (or neither) ? I’m taking a poll of my readers to see which camp you fall into. Twitter and Facebook are the two largest social media platforms. Some people LOVE Twitter, and some HATE it. Same goes with Facebook. Using Social Media is a great way to connect with your audience and friends. And it’s a great way to drive traffic to your WordPress Website.
So the Question is Which do personally YOU Prefer?
How To Strategically Grow Your Business Using The Top Two Online Social Networks
On Wednesday March 25th I interviewed Social Media Expert Mari Smith (@marismith) on using Twitter and Facebook to build relationships and drive traffic.
Online social networking sites are no longer “just for kids” or just for personal use. Giants like Facebook and Twitter have significant implications for business owners.
Facebook has risen to the top with an impressive 200 million active members (and predicted to be at 500 million members by 2011 or sooner!). In fact, if Facebook was a country, it would be the world’s 6th largest country!
Twitter currently has over 8 million members but is the fastest growing social network; traffic has grown over 600% in the past 12 months. An estimated 5-10 thousand new accounts are opened per day. And yet, even with its 140-character simplicity, Twitter can be infinitely more complex than Facebook to understand how to use effectively. There’s a right way and a wrong way and you need to know the difference.
During this information-rich session, Mari will share proven strategies for generating significant online profits using social media, including:
The most effective ways to establish yourself as a thought leader in your industry.
Simple strategies to powerfully leverage your visibility and brand.
How to drive a flood of traffic to your website and blog.
The top two secrets for getting rapid high search engine ranking.
Proven ways to identify and attract your top paying clients.
How to build a team of lucrative Joint Venture partnerships.
How to use Facebook in just five minutes a day and still yield huge, measurable results.

Twitter and Facebook are the hottest social media tools out these days. They certainly are the largest. (although really blogging is even bigger). In any case, many folks have a Facebook account, but not everyone has a Twitter account.
Twitter is a micro blogging platform that lets you create a ‘post’ of up to 140 characters. That’s about 2 sentences. It’s a lot of fun to do, and you can do it from your cell phone.
If you are one of those folks who think Twitter is a waste of time, think again. Twitter has roughly 55 million visitors a month. That’s a lot of traffic. You can use Twitter to drive traffic to your websites and/or blogs.
So if you are not on Twitter yet, then at least go open an account and grab your name.
You would want someone else to own your name now would you?
