WordPress Summer Program Opens Next Week

Next week the Website Creation Summer Program will open up for new students. This will be a fast paced, quick summer course where I’ll teach you the fundamentals of how to create your websites using WordPress.
Registration doors will open on Wednesday June 16th and it will be limited to 50 students.
The course will run for 4 weeks in July, with all the materials online in a private members area.
We will do 4 Live Q&A coaching calls where you can get your questions answered.
This will be a fun, fast paced course for people who are beginners and who are action takers !

I would like to know if this course would be for me. I already have a word press site (Constructor Theme) but am having trouble with headers, formatting, etc. Would this course help me? Thanks.

You would be better off with the Fall course I teach, since you are further along. That starts in September.
This summer program is for folks who want the basics and the coaching I give through that.
Oh one more important thing:
Anyone who signs up for this Summer Program will automatically have their payment applied to the Fall course, so that you can sign up for that Fall Program at a big big discount.

Christina, I have experience with Typepad and would like to move a blog from there to WordPress. I loaded wordpress on my hosting site but haven’t gotten any further. I’m not sure what to look for in a theme and want to have my own banner. Would this class be good for me?

You sound like you would excel in this summer program. I will be teaching what to look for in a theme, how to upload your own banner. Places to go to get a banner done, plugins, pages vs. posts, etc

Hi Christina, I excited to hear about your Summer Program, however I have a few questions. I work in Africa and sometimes the internet as well as the telephone do not work or in the case of the internet work very slowly. Downloads are manageable with a lot of patience, so I have a concern that I will not have the “real-time” benefit of your course material. Have you had other students with similar challenges and did they do well? I like the fact that you will have live Q&A sessions, but I’m not sure that I will be able to participate. Is there an opportunity to follow up with questions for persons that cannot participate in the live sessions?
I hope to hear from you soon. I love what you do; even though I have not taken a course from you I’ve seen all your videos and read all your post, so I kinda feel like I know you already.

In the summer program I’m going to have 4 Q&A calls that you do NOT need to attend live. You can submit your question ahead of time, and I will read it and answer it on the call. You can listen online, or download the Q&A .mp3 files.
You also don’t need to phone in, as the live calls will be streaming on the internet.
Would it help you if I had the Q&A calls transcribed? I’m considering doing that for all my summer students if folks want that.
