What Free Training Would You Like?
Posted by: | CommentsToday I had my first in a series of free training webinars for prospective new students of the Website Creation Workshop. (and it was a pleasure to see my alumni on the call as well)
We talked about getting a Gravatar.com account and about using WordPress as your own social media platiform.
So, I want to give you more free trainings, but I want to know:
What do you want me to teach you?
It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!
Posted by: | CommentsWith Halloween happening tomorrow, I thought I’d send along this fun video from Charles Schultz: “It’s the Great Pumpking Charlie Brown” and talk a little bit about using video on your WordPress Website.
Notice at the end of this video, is an add to buy the DVD.
You can do this as well in your videos, you can add text to promote your products and or services. Then upload them to your YouTube.com account and share them with the world!
If you’d like to learn how to add a video of your own, to your YouTube.com account, just click here for a quick 5 min video from me
Enjoy!
Open Q&A “Radio” Show (Webinar) This Thursday
Posted by: | CommentsThis Thursday September 17th at 8pm Eastern, I’m going to host an open Q&A Webinar “Radio Show”. On this webinar I will be able to answer any questions you may have about taking the Website Creation Workshop. As you know I’ve been promoting it for the past couple of weeks and now I want to help you be able to make your decision.
I got the idea for doing a “radio show” style Webinar from this fun Peanuts video below:
Remember that this Friday September 18th the doors for the full 8 module course will be closing.
Why You Need to Be Blogging Now
Posted by: | CommentsHere is a very short video clip from Seth Godin and Tom Peters (both best selling authors) on why you need to be blogging now. And you’ll be very surprised to hear what they say. It’s not the typical ‘Internet Marketing’ talk. Instead it sums up one of the reason’s why I feel it’s important for you to blog (and to be posting to Twitter)
Using WordPress as a Membership Site
Posted by: | CommentsOne of the big things that’s great about WordPress is it’s ability to become a membership site. I’ve used WordPress in various ways as a membership site. In fact, each time I run the Website Creation Workshop I create a new membership site for that class! WordPress makes it easy to do.
Well I got some cool videos for you to watch on using WordPress as a membership site with the plugin WishListMember

Affiliate Training for Newbies
Posted by: | CommentsIf you don’t have your own product or service to sell, a great way to get started online is by marketing other people’s products. Affiliate programs are a good way to accomplish that. But understanding affiliate programs can be hard for the newbie to wrap your brain around. You see there are two sides to the affiliate training coin: the affiliate and the business owner. I’m going to teach you from the perspective of the affiliate wanting to make money telling their friends about other’s products.
Want to understand how affiliate programs work and how you can make money refering your friends to products and services you like?
Well then come to my FREE affiliate training Thursday July 16th at 2pm Eastern.

Understanding Google Docs
Posted by: | CommentsMore and more, biz owners are using online tools such as WordPress for websites, Basecamp for project management, and Google Docs for documents. These tools give you an efficient way to collaborate with other people.
I found this great video that helps explain, in simple terms, what Google Docs can do for you, and how it can help you collaborate with documents such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
As your business grows, you may want to bring on virtual assistants, find Joint Venture partners, and may start using multiple computers. By using online tools such as Google Docs, it frees you up to being tied to a single computer. (which is one of the reasons why I like WordPress so much)
