Andrew,
Yes I do have my social networks linked together, and I think that is something everyone should do. It saves time and keeps all of them updated.

I teach how to connect Facebook and Twitter to your WordPress Websites.

I was taking the poll, because I was curious WHICH social network you preferred to hang out on.

I was spending more time on Twitter, but lately I've been ejoying Facebook more.

I like Facebook because it's like 3D email, yet without the pressure to respond of email.

Why not join the two or all your social networks together? I think Twitter can more impersonal, yet a great way to find new people to interact with and find out new information.

I like the speed and concise nature of Twitter. Facebook, I find is for people that like to write more.

I've joined my Twitter account and Facebook together, yet I post only certain things on Facebook. I like Twittering from my mobile phone too.

Happy Travels

To everyone who as taken the poll:

The results are what I expected, people like using Facebook better than Twitter.

Thanks for voting!

Joe,

There are so many different ways you can use Twitter. My husband and I use it to direct message each other privately. It's a very convenient way for us to communicate.

I also use it for business and fun! But that's because I like to text message.

I like the richness and fullness of Facebook. AND I like the privacy involved with it.

I have not had much experience on either. But as a beginner, I think Twitter would be better for Business and Facebook better for personal use. One reason that stands out to me is that on Twitter you can follow any user you choose to. On Facebook, you need permission from a user before they will be your friend.

I do find Ning kind of slow for getting responses most times at least on the groups I am in and unless it is a class I am paying for and needing or giving feedback I tend to run with Twitter probably first.

I'm waiting to find out through posting there the email address for one of the big wigs at Apple's retail store. I can see a way to "let's make a deal" concept for my change and population over 50 with Apple's relationship. I'm a three time missing person solver after decades too...amazing what my daughter and I can find!

Does Amazon's SW3 allow you to post photos?. I heard using their services is cheap and one lady got a bill of a whole 7 cents.

I haven't posted photos places other than on hard drive for storage.

I wish I could have said both Facebook _&_ that they're a time waster. Yes, things can be promoted on Fb, but if you truly try to stay in touch with all the postings of your Fb friends you can spend a lot of time. To not do it & just post 1 way messages becomes obvious & I know some who do exactly that.

At the start of Oct. I set up a ning social network specifically for people interested in storytelling in Michigan. The state & the field are both suffering a severe decline. This can be a specialized spot to brainstorm answers. It's proving somewhat successful, but an uphill climb. Someone told me she couldn't join as, like me, she's on a very active list for storytelling & on Fb & wants time to do more than just that. I can understand even though I know the ning group is far less hectic both because of the way it's structured & its very specific focus.

Dave,

I have started to use Flickr for photo sharing. Had an account for a long time, but didn't use it much. Then it dawned on me that it would be a great way to share photos with my VAs who are building websites and documents for me!
